As part of a recital disc by Perpetuo's Artistic Director, James Turnbull, Perpetuo recorded the world premiere recordings of Judith Weir's Mountain Airs and John Tavener's Little Missenden Calm.

Judith Weir's Mountain Airs was written in 1988 for flute, oboe and clarinet. Judith Weir described it as follows:

"Mountain Airs is a free adaptation of two traditional Scottish melodies. It lasts about four minutes and falls into three distinct sections; the scoring is for flute, oboe and clarinet in A. It was written for the British group Sounds Positive, directed by Avril Anderson and David Sutton-Anderson, and first performed by them in 1988."

The recording by Perpetuo featured Lindsey Ellis playing flute, James Turnbull playing oboe and Sara Sarvamaa playing clarinet.

John Tavener's Little Missenden Calm was composed for the Little Missenden Festival in 1984 and was written for wind quartet. The recording by Perpetuo featured James Turnbull playing oboe, Sara Sarvamaa playing clarinet, Emma Whitney playing French horn and Jo Stark playing bassoon.
